Activate an eSIM with Manual Activation Code

If you are unable to scan the activation QR code, or prefer to activate a different way, you can enter a Manual Activation Code on your device.

Follow the steps below to request an eSIM activation code:

  1. Log in to your Cross Mobile account.
  2. Click any active eSIM from the active SIM (s) list
  3. Click the “show QR/activation code” button
  4. Copy the activation code, and enter it on your device when prompted.

How to use the Manual Activation Code

    1. Open Settings
    2. Go to Cellular
    3. Under Cellular Plans, tap Add Data Plan, Select Use QR Code
    4. Your phone’s camera will open.
    5. Tap Enter Details Manually near the bottom of the camera screen.
    6. Enter the SM-DP+ Address shown in your account.
    7. Enter the Activation Code shown in your account.
    8. Once the new Data Plan has been added, make sure that Data Roaming is set to ON in your phone’s Settings, under Cellular Data > Your new eSIM plan. Note that your eSIM plan may be called “Secondary” or “Personal.”

  1. Open Settings
  2. Go to Network and Internet
  3. Look for SIMs, and tap the + icon
  4. Tap Download a SIM instead? near the bottom of the screen
  5. On the message that appears, tap Yes, then tap Next. The phone’s camera will open.
  6. Tap Need help? at the bottom of the screen
  7. On the ‘Help adding a network’ screen, underneath ‘Having trouble scanning your QR code’, you can tap Enter it manually.
  8. Now enter the Manual Activation Code exactly as it appears in your Cross Mobile account.
  9. Follow the steps on the screen to confirm the new data plan.
  10. Once the new Data Plan has been added, make sure that Data Roaming is set to ON in your phone’s Settings, under SIMs > Your new eSIM plan.
